PSD were appointed to the Design Team for the design and continuing development of new grass and artificial playing surfaces on the existing Heriot Watt University, Riccarton Campus. In 2002 this facility opened with 5 new grass pitches, a synthetic pitch and an indoor playing facility, all designed and supervised by PSD for the University and as Heart of Midlothian FC training Complex. In 2014 PSD were appointed to upgrade the facilities as the new National al Performance Centre for Sport for Scotland. This involved in the expansion of the site, which shall encompass 8 natural grass pitches, 1 outdoor artificial grass football and rugby and 1 full size indoor artificial grass football and rugby pitch and 1 small size artificial grass indoor training area.  These facilities become the training hub for the Scottish Football Association and Scottish Rugby Union. The facility is due to open this year.
